If you're looking for Spanish books for kids that are written entirely in Spanish, you're in the right place.
Many parents in the United States want to introduce Spanish at home, but quickly discover that most "Spanish books for kids" are actually bilingual English-Spanish books. While bilingual books certainly have their place, they aren't always the best choice if your goal is to help your child become familiar with Spanish naturally from the very beginning.
That's why I created this list.
Every book included here is written completely in Spanish and is suitable for children ages 0 to 5 who have little or no previous exposure to the language. Why Choose Spanish-Only Books?
If your goal is simply to expose your child to a few Spanish words, bilingual books can be helpful.
However, if you want your child to begin thinking in Spanish and become comfortable hearing the language naturally, Spanish-only books are the better choice.
Young children don't learn languages by translating every word into English. Instead, they learn by connecting words with pictures, actions, facial expressions, repetition, and meaningful situations.
